It's been quite some time since I've sat down to write something here, but when I found this track I knew I had too. Grab a pair of headphones for this one though or you might miss out on the stereo effects they dumped in here.
I don't know how I would describe this track other than great. The pair, Bryce Bresnan and Joseph Sussingham, from Lakeland Florida really hit the right notes putty this together. Its not really a rave track but I also wouldn't call it a chill track. The ambient style intro is pretty nice, then as its progressives in I enjoy it as it playfully builds up the melody. Then through the rest of the track you've great some great builds, interesting vocals, and distinct bass-lines to look forward to. They keep the track nice and dynamic, nail the transitions, and leave a satisfying tail on the end. I hope you enjoy this track as much as I do.
The pair has also done a lot of work covering multiple genres so if you enjoy this you may want to check out their SoundCloud page at https://soundcloud.com/coyotekisses

MitiS - Open Window EP
Time’s just been blowing by in all this nice weather and I
haven’t had the time to keep up here. But with the release of the new EP from
MitiS I’ve found something that I just want to let you all know about.
This EP that MitiS just released is called “Open Window”. Its
four tracks long and pretty sick. Take a listen while you read on.
So if you don’t remember, I’ve brought MitiS up before for
his Alive remix. If you listen to
much of his other work you’ll quickly realize that MitiS likes using the piano;
probably because of his classical pianist past, and I’m down with that. He also
does a great job of keeping his tracks dynamic, (you never feel like a bar is
stuck on loop with his stuff). But enough of that, I’m gonna give you a bit of a run through of
what I think of this EP. (Spoiler Alert)
The EP starts out with “Open Window” featuring Anna Yvette.
It’s a slower song but packs a full sound throughout. It’s got some wispy
female vocals in there that are pretty nice. If you’re hoping for a massive
dirty drop, this isn’t the song for you, but if a nice full melody with some exciting
builds is what you’re looking for, then you just might like this.
The second track in this EP is called “The Opening” it moves
from the first song into something a little more aggressive but maintains that
high level of melody and it rests on the foundation of a solid beat. But the
ending of the song, some might say it’s a bit of a cruel tease.
As for the third song of the EP, it’s “Shock Top” (yeah, the
same name as that citrus beer that’s out there, but don’t let your feelings of
the beer get in the way of this song) Although I’m not going to recommend Shock
Top beer, I will recommend this song, because its coming in as my favourite for
this EP. And to keep with the trend, again I’d say this song is more aggressive
than the last but still melodic. For this track I’ve gotta say my favourite
part is when it drops in. The build has nothing too special about it but when
it drops in it’s just got that sick jump feel to it, and frankly I wish there
was a bit more of that in there because it’s so good.
As for the final track it’s called Pain. It’s a good closing
track, but there’s a reason this EP isn’t called ‘Pain’. I’d say it’s not as melodic, nor as
aggressive, and it’s a bit cluttered. But when you listen to this EP as a
whole, it does a good job tying it up.
TLDR : Shock Top, Yeah, Sick jump feel. Open Window, nice
builds and melody. The Opening, pretty dece beat. Pain, extends the EP to four
tracks.

And We're Back! Saturn (Jay Cosmic Remix) & Rewind (Mikkas Remix)!
Sorry about the lack of posts in the last month or so! All of us here at the LEL have been super busy with the end of the semester and the last thing anyone wants to do after a long day of studying is to write some more....but now that its summer again we are hopefully gonna get back into the swing of things here: I can't speak for anyone else, but expect to see a lot more posts from me in the next little while!
We've had a couple of amazing weeks since our hiatus haven't we? Just trying to catch up with some of the events in the last little while, so today I'm coming at ya with a couple of heavy remixes that I discovered listening to the UMF live stream a couple of weeks back. I found a lot of great music over those weekends, but these are arguably my favorites (other than that new "Never Say Goodbye" Hardwell/Dyro song...that song is getting is own post), and have been constantly in my playlists since then.
First up is Jay Cosmic's remix of "Saturn", by Kill the Noise. My fucking GOD I love this song. I can't remember what set this was in (Knife Party's?), but I remember the crowd going fucking mad, and for good reason! There is so much energy in this remix that its impossible to not jump around. Try not to, I dare you! And that sharp electric-y drop is just so satisfying! Its like someone hooked up a car battery to your ears or something. And hearing "LETS GO NOW!" right before that? Mother fucking shivers man.
Next up is Mikkas' remix of "Rewind" by Emma Hewitt. I had the pleasure of going to see Emma live at the beginning of the year, and don't get me wrong, she put on a fantastic show; I gained a whole new appreciation for vocal trance. To me though, I find that her amazing voice is best implemented by other producers, and this is the perfect example. I have to admit, I don't really know Mikkas very well, just this and his "Unison" remix, but I definitely want to look into him more after this. I absolutely love how he takes Emmas serene voice and makes it darker; gives the whole thing a more energetic vibe, like a teeth-grindy face-clenchy heavy that just makes you want to groove. Pretty sure this was number 1 on beatport for a while or something...so you don't have to just take my word for it!

House Music
Alright i'm gonna make this short and sweat because i hate writing, and we will leave it that that. I only started to listen to EDM music when i moved to lister. Before that i liked pretty much everything (except country), and I still do. but enough about that.
Last night i spent a few good hours exploring House music of all different types. I found it hard to find a song i didn't like. The songs with good vocals and and somewhat chill beat were defiantly my favourite thought. Zedd and Swedish house mafia are probably my favourite, and have a lot of good house music
I made a playlist of a few of my favourite from last night and this morning. Im sure you all have heard most of them but here they are.

So Young So High
So errybody knows Dada Life is sick and champagne and bananas are the tits. And since it's spring now and the weather is all over the place, teasing us with the opportunity to drive around with the windows down and light up the barbecue, I thought I'd throw around a track that gives off that awesome no worries springtime vibe.
Dada Life - So Young So High, (both the Original and the Dillon Francis Remix)
The track is originally by Dada Life and is pretty awesome, so give it a listen first. But then you gotta check out the Dillon Francis Remix, cause it complements and builds off the original pretty well, so make sure you listen to it after.
Pretty great song right? It builds up real nice, keeps that carefree feel throughout, and drops into a decent beat, and who doesn't like being young and high?
Once you finish listening to the original you gotta checkout this remix. It starts off a little faster and Dillon does a great job of keeping that carefree feel but changing the genre up at the same time. And don't forget about the drop in this track, it's something else. It just drops into that massive chill beat. Definitely worth turning up right there cause that's what the start of summer sounds like.
Tiesto and Andybody also made pretty big remixes of this, but took it in a different direction; more in the midnight rave direction than giving off the carefree summer style. Look them up if you want.

Freefrom Hardcore
So we are exploring the less known regions under EDM, and I thouhgt what the hell? I am a trance guy and have never been keen on exploring, but since everyone is doing it, I am gonna give it a shot.
This genre is called Freeform Hardcore, or its technical name "Happy Hardcore UK Hardcore". I looked it up on youtube and was met with failure to find singles or collabs. However there are a ton of mixes that are hours long.
After listening to a few different mixes for the past hour, I have concluded that it sounds like someone took old school techno and trance, bashed them together, added funky electro notches and good vocals and finally turning it up to 190 bpm. But damn, I like this shit.
It is fast. It is versatile. Sounds like drum and bass but its not, it gots its own twerk to it. This is the kinda shit that will get you dancing at shows, actually I prefer this than the hardstyle they put on. There are not many drops, but you keep going cuz the beat never stops.

DRUM AND BASS, IN YO FACE!
So, you like your dubstep and your house. Trance is pretty sick too. But sometimes... man, just sometimes... you wanna go fast. Like, real fast.
That's where the drum and bass comes in, amigo!
My name's Megan, some you may know me as "Megan", "Leduc", or "Brett's girlfriend". Lets be friends! I used to live on 7 Henday, and I'm sure you and I have ran into each other at some point. Anyway, I asked Jedd if I could write a post or two because I'm a fan of EDM and I'm really digging the stuff that's been coming out of this blog. I've got a pretty broad taste in music, but my journey into the depths of electronic music began pretty recently. Through some incredible music festivals last summer, I was introduced to some crunchy beats that blew my brain out my ears, and I'm always looking for more!
But I digress, lets get back to the bass-ics here. Hahahaa.
You may have noticed that we have a massive dubstep and house following in North America. Thus, that's a lot of what we hear at EDM shows and outdoor festivals: slow, heavy, hard, and lotsa drops. Drum and bass (or DnB, and if it's really fast, Jungle) is a little different - if you've heard something heavy and fast, like... really fast, it just might've been from DnB family. The genre has a bigger following in the UK, but some awesome artists definitely do show up to play the EDM festival circuit in the summer, which is how I was introduced to this beautiful, fast, fun, and sometimes kinda creepy genre!
Here's a playlist of some of the stuff I like. Some of it's new, some of it's old, but in general it's all pretty good and will turn you into a raging junglist in no time! Now, before we get our panties in a twist about music classification (which admittedly is a bit tricky with electronic - theres a lot of wild and crazy out there!) note that not all of the playlist is straight-up DnB, I also threw in some stuff belonging to - sister genres? is that the term? Anyway, the stuff that sounds like Jamaican dudes on speed is Raggajungle, and the Prototypes tune is the product of dubstep and dnb making sexy music babies ("Drumstep").
So here's to getting in touch with your inner speed freak, I hope you enjoy!

With Finals Quickly Approaching...
There's a first for everything (I'm like the lurkers of Reddit...).
I know I have a pretty unique taste in music, varying from some hardcore screamo to Bon Iver, but when it comes to studying I only listen to electronic. That's probably the biggest reason why I enjoy being a part of this; I never run out of study music with all these new songs.
Down to the point though, I've put together a small sampler of my study playlist for everyone else to enjoy. Most of the songs you'll find are pretty chill and relaxing while still having an upbeat feel so you don't find yourself falling asleep on those damn notes of yours. It also has minimal lyrics as I find memorizing drug names while singing along to a song the least effective form of studying known to man.
Hope you find it as good as I do and feel free to give me some feedback. And if you don't like one song I suggest you try others, there's a varying range of styles.
Peace Homies,
Kirk

A STATE OF TRANCE 600 @ ULTRA
Out of all the bloggers here on Lister Electronic Blog, I think I am the biggest trance addict. I even made my school schedule to have a break between class from 12-2 on Thursdays just so I can listen to ASOT.
Today, ASOT has made its way to Miami beach, with what is most likely to be the biggest trance line up EVER in history. The entire broadcast started just less than an hour ago with the man himself, ARMIN VAN BUUREN playing his warm up set. Yup, I am up on a Sunday morning at 10 AM because I want to have trance for breakfast, and lunch and dinner and night cap, today entire broadcast goes on for 12 eargasming hours AUOEFHDOUFNSJ

Trance music has that power to just put you away into A STATE OF TRANCE (puns intended). The vocals, melodies, piano and all else just makes it ABSOLUTELY MASSIVE AND EPIC.
It is like painting a picture with sounds, all those different instruments and elements are like strokes of a glistening brush, and who's to say trance DJs can't paint pictures to those of Van Gogh and Picasso?
AND THIS ONE HERE JUST WON AN IDMA FOR "BEST TRANCE TRACK" YESTERDAY =D

Mau5 and Mau5 Remixes!
I've been on a bit of a hiatus from posts for the last little while; the combination of a heavy school load and lack of motivation has left me unwilling to sit in front of my computer to bang out an uninspired ramble. Watching the live streams of UMF Miami over the last weekend was just the spark I needed to get going again. Since Deadmau5 played an amazing set on Saturday, I thought it would be fitting to cover some of my favorite Mau5 tracks and remixes of Mau5 tracks!
First off is Mr FijiWiji's remix of Aural Psynapse. This was a very recent discovery of mine, but it instantly found a place in my heart. I'm a pretty big Mau5 fan, not necessarily a die hard, but I've even gone so far as to BUYa couple of his albums (thats how you know shits real). I didn't even know that the original of this song existed! Originally recorded in 2001, things don't get more classic Deadmau5 than Aural Psynapse. Mr FijiWiji's remix changes things around a bit. The song is sped up a little, but somehow maintains a more chill vibe. Super tranquil and relaxing, yet simultaneously uplifting; I imagine that in a far off Utopian future, there will be monks that masturbate to songs like this to try to reach Nirvana.
Second I have a really old favorite of mine. Strictly speaking, I am not the biggest fan of mash-ups. They have their place, and I don't mean any offense to those who like them, I don't want them in my music collections. This song, dubbed "I Remember Shelter" is one of the exceptions. Everything about this song works amazingly well, capturing the initial feelings of both originals, both amazing in their own right.
Last is Deadmau5's remix of Morgan Page's "The Longest Road". After Strobe, this is hands down my favorite Deadmau5 song. Lissie, who you might recognize from her rock cover of Pursuit of Happiness, is stunning in this. I would love to hear more of her in electronic music in the future. Everything that Zimmerman does to this track is subtle; I absolutely love how he can take a simple repeating chord progression and turn it into something amazing through the simple use of filters. So many artists out there are obsessed with a filthy drop, and while I enjoy this as much as the next guy, there is something to be said for taking time to build of a song instead. Its like comparing a quicky to spending an entire day with a gorgeous girl (or guy) exchanging smiles and laughs, all building up to that glorious moment later in the night. In my opinion, Deadmau5 is one of the best at building up songs like this, giving us something that is way more profound.

You Audio in Review
I’m going off on a bit of a tangent for this post. And this is a bit off a wall of text you could say, but to start with, here's Zedd's remix of his own song Clarity so you have something to listen to if you want to read on. (There are 2 more tracks in there later on too.) Zedd remixed his own track and came up with something that is clearly Clarity, but sounds completely different, a completely different genre actually, but if you like the original, you'll probably have some appreciation for this. I find this remix much more passive and maybe more hopeful and although I probably like the original more, this still has it's place and is pretty sweet.
Zedd - Clarity feat. Foxes (Zedd Union Mix)
Check it out and read on through my ranting and raving if you want.

Pegboard Nerds
I recently came across a track from these guys, and I thought it had a pretty great sound so I started digging around, and man did I like what I started to find. I'm not even sure which track I'd call my favourite from these guys, but the track that set me onto them was Pegboard Nerds - Fire In The Hole. Take a listen.
So these Pegboard Nerds are a duo made up of Alexander Odden of Norway and Michael Parsberg of Denmark ('of' sounds way more badass then 'from' here, hey?). This pair got together way back in '05 and started dicking around, but they only became the Pegboard Nerds in 2012. Since they became their own artist and started throwing out their own tracks, they have made quite a ripple. The genre they play in is definitely dubstep and you could say they have a similar sound to Knife Party. There is quite a bit of variation between their different tracks though and the level of skill that these two possess is quite obvious once you've listened to a couple different tracks and remixes.
The track Fire In The Hole that you should be listening to now has a nice beat to it with some good swing you could say, and although the lyrics don't really do anything for me, the track is solid dubstep that's not too heavy.
But now onto the two tracks that really made me sink my teeth into these guys. One of these tracks is Pegboard Nerds - Self Destruct. This song has a sick synth melody interspersed that really kicks in near the end and it just feels good. The song gets pretty heavy in places, but there is just enough of that high spirited melody slipped into those heavy places to keep you flying through and wanting more.
The other track that really caught my attention is Pegboard Nerds - Disconnected. I'd say this track is lighter, more melodic throughout, and farther from dubstep than the other tracks. The feel I get from this song reminds me quite a bit of that young kid Madeon.
After listening to these three tracks you may realize that these guys like to mix some real heavy stuff in with some pretty light stuff, and they do a damn good job of it. The transitions keep a natural feel too them and the heavy and light parts do a nice gob job of complementing each other. The different sounds that this duo can produce is fairly well demonstrated by these three tracks; Disconnected is overall cheerful and upbeat, that melody in Self Destruct is just awesome and there are some some pretty heavy bits in there too, and Fire In The Hole has some swing that can really get you moving with some nice small drops.
If you like what you've heard so far, here are three more originals and three remixes to check out to give you more of a feel for these guys.

Kaskade Coachella Set
Ive wanted to write a blog post on Kaskade for a while, but I didn't
know where I would start. It would have been impossible to focus on a few
tracks when he has produced so much gold. I mean, the guy has produced 41
singles and 38 remixes, along with over 100 mashups from Frank Sinatra to Paris Hilton.
Then I discovered his 2012 set at
Coachella, which is the epitome of what Kaskade represents. This set is
unbelievable in every way shape and form. It contains all my favorite Kaskade
singles (Eyes, Raining, Llove, I Remember, Lick it), as well as some B.E.A.utiful mashups such as Empty Streets Cascade and Fire in Your Antidote. This
set is so much more impressive than an average set because all but one song (In
My Mind) are produced by him in one way or another! There is a very small class
of elite Producers/DJ’s that have the ability to make an amazing set strictly
using your own material, showing he deserves to be named among the likes of
Deadmau5, Avicii, and Al Walser. This is one of the very few Mormons that I would
embrace upon knocking on my door.
If you're lazy as fuck and dont want to experience an hour and a half eargasm, it's a bare bones requirement to at least listen to Raining- Adam K & Kaskade (1:21), as well as Lick it- Skrillex & Kaskade (1:02). Enjoy!

Skrillex -- Breakin' a Sweat (Zedd Remix); Zedd -- Epos
Got a bit of a double header for you guys today. Zedd has made a name for himself over the
last couple of years. I don’t understand
some of what he does (producing for Lady Gaga and….ugh...Justin Beiber?...really?...)
but there is no denying that he is one hell of a talented musician. To get an understanding of what I mean, look
up his piano version of Spectrum; its rather stunning, and to me it really
proves that these electronic producers are just as musically talented as any
other musician. We’ve all heard that dickhead say something along the lines of
“What do they even do? Don’t they just get up on stage and press play? I could do
that.” As someone who used to listen to a lot of classical music, I liken them
to orchestra conductors/composers. These
guys really need to understand music, every little component, where the bass
should come in, how to tweak the synthline to sing above everything else, how
to make that stunning vocal track stand out and add to a song rather than just
a muddled mess in with everything else.
In a good electronic song, every single bit has its place. Takes talent
man, and anyone who says otherwise can GTFO.
So with that bit of a rant done…I heard Zedd’s work for the
first time a couple of years ago with his remix of Skrillex’s “Breakin’ a
Sweat.” I didn’t really think much about
it at the time, but its slowly become one of my favorite electronic songs. The original, while good, is kind of mellow
for what I expect from Skrillex. Zedd throws up the middle finger and brings the
intensity right back up. He takes what I
saw as a kind of messy track and brings it together, but leaves it close enough
to the original so that it shows off both Zedd and Skrillex’s talent. The original is like your lame ass hanging
out with the chess club all weekend and the Zedd remix is like your older,
harder, badass-er brother (I heard that one time he even injected 5 whole
marijuanas!)
Now, following his Spectrum release over the summer, Zedd
released his first album Clarity, which I think is absolutely fantastic. While certainly not ground breaking, every
track is technically fantastic, and you can really hear Zedd playing around
with some different styles, flexing his legs a bit. Epos is really the highlight of the album for
me. Its got a really Deadmau5-ish vibe
to it that I absolutely love. And dat
synth line man….something about the way that it drifts in and out of synch
makes your brain itch, but in a good way! ….kinda like the satisfaction that
you get from popping a really big zit.
So yeah, a couple of killer tracks from Zedd; really shows
off his diversity, and I’m looking forward to hearing more from him in the
future.

Happenstance
I'm honestly not sure when the first time I heard this song was. I think I might have heard bits of it in people's live sets, but there is no way I could tell you for sure.
However what I could tell you is that I came across it at home more so by happenstance. If one small thing had happened differently in that day, week, month, etc, I likely wouldn't have come across it. Something as small as dropping a couple extra noodles in a pot could have changed it all; my brain chemistry may have been slightly altered from the extra food so I may have made some very small decision differently such as choosing to follow some link, then I may have become distracted by some article that I otherwise wouldn't have and that cold have changed what I read into and how late I stayed up one night, then I would have felt completely different than I did the next day, so the chances of my day playing out sufficiently similar to come to similar results drop off significantly, now as you can see the chances of the same things happening rapidly decay with time. It could have been something as small as reading or not reading someone's Facebook status that could have stopped me from coming across this track, or someone giving me a smile at party, talking to someone in hall, playing tug of war, or skipping a class.
Any little thing could have happened differently, but it didn't. So that track that I recently happened across is Party Police by Damien Le Roy & Chebacca. Until I came across this track I had never heard of this Damien Le Roy guy, so I look into him, and I can barley find anything on this guy, just a preview of this song, a remix, and a mix on his soundcloud and only 236 followers. So I'm sitting there and I'm like 'What the fuck? how does this guy put down a track like that as one of his first songs?' So I keep looking and I find out he used to be DJ Ammo and did work with the Black Eyed Peas, then most of it made sense, but still how does he have that few followers?
But anyway back to the track. Sure this may not be the best song ever, or that good of a track for casual listening, but fuck, I'd say it's a pretty good song to see live with your eyes wide. This track just has a massive sound to it and features some sounds that remind me of Mario from back when you all were learning to walk (and I was graduating highschool). I'd say its a pretty good song to get you going.
So this song was a little harder to find on that internet thing than I'm used to, so I'm gonna have to redirect you if you want to listen to the full song,
Check it out here.

Here's the preview on souncloud if that link doesn't work, but the full song is way better.
Now your choice to read this and listen to or not listen to this track may have a far bigger impact on your life and the people's around you than you may imagine.

The songs that got me into the Electronic Genre
Well, I decided to take Weekes up on his suggestion and make a post in this group. I was trying to think of a good topic to discuss while I procrastinate studying and I thought that the origin of my addiction to the electro music scene would be all right. So here it goes....
Everyone who has a specific genre of music they listen to has some song, event or person that really got them hooked into it initially. I'm sure if you guys all think hard, there's that one song that sparked your interest in electronic music and got you searching for other songs in this genre. Fortunately enough, there's lots of bad-ass songs out there that we stumbled upon after we started searching that really cemented our love for this type of music. I'm going to list off my own personal "spark" song and the following 4 or 5 others that made me realize that I was going to be listening to electro music for a long time.
1) 009 Sound System - Dreamscape.
The first person to introduce me to electronic music was my cousin who listened to (what I thought at that time) all this weird shit music with no words. Some guy named Dead-mow-five (everyone noobed out like that before they knew what was up), these 2 robot dudes named Daft Punk and some old guys with a cross named Justice. I was adamant initially that I didn't like any of that stuff regardless of how hard he tried to convince me to listen to it. Finally, he force fed this song, Dreamscape, and despite my initial protests, I listened to it. In all honesty, it really is a weird song that hooked me but it has some of my favourite aspects of music in it (plus I really love old school trance). Its very tinny nature, long drawn out chords and smooth transitions really appealed to me. Give it a listen when you find yourself super tired and it just feels like your floating away. Its one of my favourite songs and the song that got me hooked at the start. (P.S. All of 009 Sound Systems trance is soooooo gooood)
2) Deadmau5 - Strobe
Ok, so basically, my cousin listened to this Deadmowfive guy hardcore and gave me all his music after I said I wanted to start listening to this genre. I was flipping through his songs once I got back home and came across this...... masterpiece. This song is the reason I enjoy electro as much as I do today. It is my absolute favourite song in the entire world and has been for the past ~3 1/2 years. Words simply do not do this song justice. If you haven't heard this song before, what are you even doing with your life. If you have, give it a listen or 9 anyway because its amazing.
3) Skrillex - With you, Friends (Long Drive)
Back when dubstep started to become a popular thing, people started talking about this Skrillex guy. I looked him up and immediately liked his stuff (back when Skrillex made his good songs, his new stuff is mediocre at best, only my opinion though...). His glitch music is what really got me, I'm a huge fan of pitchy music and this song is the definition of pitchy. The glitch he did in this is so good and it is such a smooth song with a really really good ending and build-up. This and summit (which happens to be very similar to this song) are my favourite pieces by him and ultimately got me to broaden my enjoyment into the glitch and dubstep sub-genres. Give it a whirl if you haven't heard it.
4) Deadmau5 - Raise your Weapon (Madeon remix)
So I naturally began my avid obsession with Deadmau5 early and found a remix that he re tweeted. Some 16 year old kid remixed this song I liked into a song I liked even more. Thus started my love of the happy/fun/dancey style of the legend kid, Madeon. Seriously though, this guy is unreal and his music is phenomenal. I heard this song for the first time and I put it on repeat for weeks. This is actually still one of my top 10 songs today and it has a way of just making you feel happy regardless of whatever you are doing. Madeon, you are on my bucket list to see live.
5) Daft Punk - One More Time
The main reason this song is here was because during this electro blitz section of my life, I discovered that this song was made by Daft Punk. I'm sure everyone has heard this randomly in restaurants or on the radio but I had never put it to a specific artist. This song needs no introduction, it is the classic of classics and one of the reasons that electro music is even popular today. Made by the fathers of "Techno" and listened to by every individual on the planet I'm sure. This song is as beautiful now as it was 11 years ago and will never go out of style for me. Listen to it out of respect for the 2 masters that pioneered this genre that we know and love. (P.S. I'm going to die of excitement for Daft Punks new album in the fall. Wheeeeeeeee!)
From there, it spider webbed all over the place, from discovering Feed Me, Flux Pavillion, Calvin Harris, Nero, Adventure Club, Avicii, Pretty Lights and numerous others, to loving all of them.
So after this novel of a post and a successful hour of procrastination, this is how I personally got addicted to electronic music and the few songs that cemented me into it. If any of you guys have a couple songs that did it for you, you should share it as well because it is always neat to see the progression of someone's initial taste in a genre to what you enjoy today.
Thanks
-Pat
Weekes' Weekly Wobble ~3
So new title of my wobble of the week (big thanks to Aimee!) Weekes' Weekly Wobble has a little more flow to it so here it goes.
Feed Me - Little Cat Steps takes it this week
I randomly shuffled to this song a few months back and completely forgot it even existed, I feel like you should take a peak.
Don't listen until you are in the mood to get motivated and pumped, this track will get you going faster than speed, its rhythmic pumps will put you straight into heavy workflow.
This guy's real name is Jon Gooch but don't laugh at the name he has some filth, Gooch also goes by Spore and has released tracks under Deadmau5's label.
I honestly can't find too too much him but just let this song do him some justice, another honorable track by him is Feed me Ft. Tasha Baxter - Strange Behavior which is a bit calmer.
oh and cool artwork too....
cheers! Don't forget to comment!

Top 5 Adventure Club Tracks!
As I'm sure all you Edmontonians are aware, Adventure Club is this Thursday at Union! If you don't have tickets, I don't know what the fuck you are doing with your life. Seriously, you're gonna want to be there. Although there is no such thing as a bad AC song, over the last couple of days we have conducted a poll on the Lister Electronic League facebook group on our favorite AC tracks. Here are the results! If you disagree with the placement of any of the songs on this list, or think that a song should be on here that isn't, tough shit. Make your own god damn list. (But seriously, leave your thoughts in the comment section as there are probably others that agree with you).
AC's newest remix of "Lullabies" by Yuna sneaks into 3rd place
Finally, the winning song from our poll, the track that we think is the fucking tits and stands above and beyond all other AC tracks is............."Crave You". Thats right, you knew it was going to be on this list somewhere. Crave You takes our top spot on this list.
Hope this mini playlist gets you guys as amped for Thursday as we are! Hope you see you there!
(Cue epic movie announcer voice)
Coming in at number 5, we have "Retro City":
"Do I See Color" takes the number 4 spot:
AC's newest remix of "Lullabies" by Yuna sneaks into 3rd place
The runner-up spot on our list belong to AC's remix of "Youth"
Finally, the winning song from our poll, the track that we think is the fucking tits and stands above and beyond all other AC tracks is............."Crave You". Thats right, you knew it was going to be on this list somewhere. Crave You takes our top spot on this list.

We Can Make The World Stop - The Glitch Mob
The Glitch Mob is pretty sick trio consisting of edIT (Edward Ma), Boreta (Justin Boreta) and Ooah (Josh Mayer). I know I'm not the only one writing here that appreciates what these guys put together.
We Can Make The World Stop is one of my favourite tracks from this trio. This song has an epic sound to it, and gets a sick ass slow motion feeling going on. Great song to drive along to.
Check it out.
